These are questions we've been asked but were not posted to our site, probably because this Q&A forum didn't exist until now.

Q. "Why don't the pages curl like Flash catalogs or iBooks?  It's like the pages are stiff sheets of cardbord [sic]."

A. More realistic page turning could be achieved with CSS3 3D transforms, but those are very poorly supported right now so a decision was made to only use the (more widely supported) CSS3 2D transforms for the page turn animations.  As support for the 3D transforms becomes more pervasive the page animations will likely be changed.  You may have also seen this CSS3 2D page curl/turn effect, which works great in the example but the method presents logistical problems trying to implement it in a multi-page document.

Q. "How do I bookmark multiple pages???  When I bookmark a new page my previous bookmark is deleted!"

A.  The "In-App Bookmarking" feature was added in version 0.9.1 and has only ever supported a single bookmark.  Multiple bookmarks are being considered for a future release.  You can also bookmark pages with your web browser's bookmark/favorites tool, which can point to specific pages when the URL ends in a hash mark and page number (like this: #18 would point to page 18).  In that way you can use your browser to create multiple bookmarks instead of using the in-app bookmarking feature.

Q. "iCloud Bookmark Sync lets me share bookmarks across devices.  Does 'Ryuzine' offer a similar feature?"

A. No, a bookmark syncing feature is not built into Ryuzine.  However, if you use the browser to bookmark pages and either use a browser with built-in syncing or utilize one of many bookmark syncing services you CAN synchronize Ryuzine bookmarks across devices and/or browsers.

Q. "Are there any built-in tools for highlighting or annotating the text?"

A. No, highlighting or annotation tools are built into the web app.  However, since it is just a web page, you can use any one of the many highlighting and annotation tools/services already available.  One of our favorites for its simplicity is http://www.awesomehighlighter.com/(just enter the URL of the Ryuzine you want to highlight or annotate).  However there are many others available, check out this list!

For those last two questions it should be pointed out that we purposely decided NOT to include a built-in feature or integrate a specific service for these options but to let your readers choose which (if any) such syncing, bookmarking, or annotation option they prefer.

(The answers to these questions have also been added to the "Tips & Hints" forum, since they obviously were not obvious).

If you have any other questions about the Ryuzine reader web app just add them to this forum!
